    Apply for a Seed Grant

    Seed equips and resources you for mission. For example, throw a party, do art in the park, clean up and paint your neighbor’s house. Feel free to dream and get excited! Fill out this application for up to $1,000 to fuel your mission ideas. Grants are currently awarded to Sojourn members only.

    Seed Leader Ministry Description Document -This document explores the prerequisites and expectations for Seed Leaders in our community groups.

    Seed Service

    Just One: Our Call To Relational Ministry -The goal this year is that each community group would embrace a redemptive relationship with a family in need as we serve and minister to them in the name of Christ.

    Service Ideas -Here are some service ideas for groups who desire to get involved in the community. This is not an exhaustive list, so feel free to dream.

    Suggested Service Outline -Leading and serving can seem intimidating. We want to equip you to know what to do and what to say. Use this outline to help structure your service time with your group. Following this outline will help your volunteers understand why you are serving and how the gospel informs and fuels your service.

    Dispelling The Mercy Myth, by Steve Leach -Read this testimony and get exposed to the kind of service we are espousing. This testimony took place during Mercy on Mondays. However, we hope all groups would get involved in mission whenever and wherever they are. Seed exists to make this happen.

    Louisville City Partnerships -It’s easy to get plugged in! You and your group can get involved in and serve these organizations.

    Medical Clinic Resources – Click here for more information on ways that you can donate supplies to our ongoing medical clinics, rally your community group to gather items or to serve at the clinic, or for information for Medical Care providers.

    Benevolence Policy

    Benevolence Policy – Download Sojourn’s benevolence policy.  Learn how Sojourn meets the needs of the poor and marginalized when they seek financial assistance.  We want to thank Bethlehem Baptist and Bellevue Baptist for helping us work though this policy.

    Neighborhood Studies

    Louisville Study – A comprehensive report on the city of Louisville including a history of the city, demographic research, profiles on the neighborhoods surrounding the 930, needs assessment, proposed solutions to address systemic issues, and the results from focus groups held in 2008.

    Germantown Neighborhood Study and Needs Assessment – An in-depth needs assessment and quality of life study of the German Paristown neighborhood in Louisville.

    Schnitzleburg Neighborhood Study and Needs Assessment – This assessment of the Schniztleburg Neighborhood gives a needs assessment and the results of a quality of life survey.  Schnitzleburg is located a quarter-mile from the 930.

    St. Matthews Area Ministries Needs Assessment Report -The Board of Directors for the St. Matthews Area Ministries (St. MAM) voted in favor to embark on a needs assessment journey in partnership with the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work … this is their report.
